Massed Bands in 1976. Tim Ainslie's nurturing of Steven's talent paved the way for him to achieve
his dream as he went on to be Pipe Major of the Black Watch and is now The Director of Army Bagpipe Music.

Tim's son Andrew, fresh from service with the Black Watch, who was to take over from his Dad as Pipe Major in later years is on the far left of the centre row.
